Age and gender appear to play a key role in determining the outcome of serious brain injury, according to the results of a new study. High levels of testosterone may protect young men from death or disability after head trauma, researchers say, but this protection declines as testosterone levels fall with age.

“Complementary and alternative” (or “CAM”) medicine is among expressions applied to treatments not usually prescribed by practitioners of “conventional” medicine. A study published in the Sept. 21 issue of the Annals of Internal Medicine revealed the extent of utilization of “complementary, alternative medicine” among 232 patients of six Indiana arthritis (Rheumatology) practices.

In determining when you will exercise, ask yourself two questions. First, what does your schedule look like? Are you too busy in the late afternoon or evening to exercise? Will mornings work better for you? Or will you have to alternate between morning and late afternoon or evening workouts?

My little boy fights with me every morning about going to school. How do I get him excited about school? Please help me. There may be several reasons why a child doesn’t want to go to school. Let’s face it, all of us have days where we would rather stay in bed.
