About Freedom Candles
Freedom Candle was first manufactured in a small barn in the town of Granby, CT. It was started by my wife Laura who decided to begin to make her own wax pies and jar candles because she thought she could put as much scent as she wanted in each jar candle so she could make the house as fragrant as she wanted.
All I can say is that she was right, the house smelled great and her friends began to request she make candles for them. It was at this point I began to take an interest in the great smelling product she was producing and she and I started to do as much research and testing as possible.
We had decided to do a Craft Fair in Granville, MA.. Things went well especially for a candle no one had ever heard of and with this thought and the nice letters we received from people who had purchased our product and wanted more, we decided to open our own retail location. That was back in 1994 and today we are still doing business and hope to for years to come.
Freedom Candle is a privately owned company started in Granby, CT., Now in Springfield, MA.
I personally think selling scented candles on the internet is one of the toughest projects known to man. Mainly because we can not utilize our biggest selling point, and that is physically holding and smelling the candle before purchasing. That is the main reason we offer our votive candles in variety packs. So you can try a variety of fragrances and find the scents you like the best before purchasing larger jar candles.
We don’t claim that you will like every fragrance, but we do claim that when you find a fragrance that you do like, it will be of the finest quality and you will not have to worry about the candle losing it’s fragrance after a few uses. Our scented candles will be as fragrant at the end as it was in the beginning.
